Seas the Day

Welcome!
If you are fortunate to be at the beach, notice the gradual transitions that have been laid out before us. The beach itself, where the water meets the land at varying levels throughout the day, displays a guide for the fellow beachbum to be organized.

Our day should begin as calm as the ocean in the morning. A place where you can gather your thoughts and meditate. This is where I enjoy at least 25 minutes of coffee time and plan all while being inspired by things that remind of me of the beach - i.e. tropical washi tape, desktop wallpaper, ocean waves from an audio clip, etc.  Let's take in what the day holds and what needs to be accomplished just as we would observe any advisories. Our time needs to be guided as well. For some, staying in the sun for too long can prove to be harmful; the same is true for continuance in one activity for too long. Some techniques that I have enabled are to divide my day up into 30 or 60 minute segments. (Set a timer if you need that discipline.) Also, protect yourself with the proverbial sunscreen of time boundaries so that you are not bombarded by others/items that radiate waste. Be flexible - not every "day at the beach is the same" nor should a planned day be so rigid that there is no flexibility. Place buffers within your schedule for the possible wake that may occur.

Before you wrap up your day, take some time for yourself and reflect. Do not be afraid of a "pointless" day; learn from it and keep only what works or is productive.

Whether on the web or the waves,
Happy Surfing Everyone!
